Movie review: Gravity

I've never been to outer space and undoubtedly never will be. But Gravity (in 3D) gives a good approximation of both the awe-inspiring and the truly frightening aspects of space travel.

Sandra Bullock plays a grieving mother/scientist working on a project on the space station. George Clooney plays the wisecracking commander of the mission. Just as they're getting ready to finish up their mission and head home, space debris hits their ship and sets off a chain reaction of devastating events. Both Sandra and George are excellent in their respective roles. And the special effects are truly amazing. You experience both the claustrophobic confines of the module and the vastness of space.
