The Secret Soldier by Alex Berenson

Secret Soldier is the latest in the "John Wells" series by Alex Berenson. In this volume, now ex-CIA agent John Wells gets hired by the Saudi royal family and gets sucked into a plot that involves a small group trying to start an Islam-America war. I like the character of John Wells and it was an interesting story that moves right along. But the best book in this series is still the first--The Faithful Spy--which is the quintessential page-turner.
