Reader, I Married Him edited by Tracy Chevalier

As Charlotte Bronte fans know, "Reader, I married him" is a line from Jane Eyre. This book of the same name is a compilation of stories "inspired by" Jane Eyre. Some of my favorite selections put a new spin on characters from Jane Eyre (Mr. Rochester, Grace Poole, Helen). Others were good stories that seemed to have a very faint tie to the source material. And with a few of them, I wondered why they were included in the book since they seemed to have no ties to J.E. at all. One of the most entertaining parts is the bios at the back, where several of the authors mentioned their particular history with Jane Eyre.
