Killer Look by Linda Fairstein

Killer Look is the latest in the Alexandra Cooper series. Alex is still recuperating from being abducted and hasn't returned to her job in the DA's office--working for a DA she no longer trusts, by the way. She's drinking too much and going a little stir crazy. When an old acquaintance from high school, Lilly, contacts her to say her recently deceased father, fashion mogul Wolf Savage, was murdered rather that a victim of suicide, as the police think, Alex decides to get involved.
Her boyfriend, Detective Mike Chapman, is not thrilled with her involvement, but to give her credit, she does uncover a lot of valuable information and in the end is the one who figures out what really happened.

There is a lot of background on the fashion industry in New York--and the Metropolitan Museum in NYC, the site of a huge fashion show for Wolf. I find the NY history snippets part of the charm of this series. Alex seemed to be getting her mojo back by the end of the book, which is a good thing.
A surprise twist at the end may lead her career in a totally new direction.

Quick read and an enjoyable addition to the series.
