Love in a Nutshell by Janet Evanovich

Kate is newly divorced and has moved into her parents' former home on Lake Michigan, hoping to turn it into a B&B. But she needs money to fix the place up. So she gets a job as a "spy" for handsome Matt at his microbrewery. He promises her a big bonus if she can find out who's vandalizing his business. She's very attracted to Matt--till she finds out he holds the mortgage on her house and is planning on tearing it down. Soon, Kate gets a little too close to the bad guy and finds her own life in danger. Love in a Nutshell is not great literature but it is an entertaining story with likable characters. So if you're just in the mood for good fluff, it will fill the bill.
