Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back with another entertaining adventure. She spends much of the story trying to bring in mobster Sunny Sunnuchi, who has a lot of allies in the neighborhood who keep thwarting her efforts. Two other subplots involve a killer who is murdering old ladies and throwing them in dumpsters and a mysterious giraffe that only Steph and her gal pal Lula seem to be aware of. As usual, there are plenty of mishaps and a lot of romantic confusion. It's a quick and enjoyable read.
