The Gangster by Clive Cussler and Justin Scott

The Gangster is the latest in the always entertaining "Isaac Bell" series. It relates the adventures of private investigator Bell and his cohorts at the Van Doren detective agency in the early 1900s. In this installment, Isaac et al are trying to track down the leader of the Black Hand gang, which has been extorting Italian immigrants in NYC and in general wreaking havoc.As always, it's an engaging tale with a little history thrown in.
