Play review: Chinglish

I know I usually comment on books and movies but I wanted to put in a good word for a clever--and very funny--play I saw over the weekend called Chinglish. Written by David Henry Hwang (of M. Butterfly fame), it shows how language and culture can get lost in translation when you move from one country to another. In this case, it's a befuddled American trying to expand his company into China. The cast was great, the pace was fast, and the sets were very cool.

If you happen to be in Chicago, Chinglish is playing at the Goodman Theatre through July 24th. Then it's heading to New York.
