Revenge Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

If you're just in the mood for good chick lit during these waning days of summer, check out Revenge Wears Prada, the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. It's ten years after Andy Sachs unceremoniously quit working for her nightmare boss, the Prada-clad Miranda Priestly. Andy has joined forces with her one-time nemesis and fellow Miranda escapee, Emily, to start up a new publication for brides called The Plunge. Andy has also met the man of her dreams, publisher Max. And life seems good--until Andy comes across a letter she wasn't supposed to see--and hears some unexpected news when she returns from her honeymoon. All of which throws her idyllic life severely off kilter. And then to make things worse, Miranda pops back into her life.

No, it's not literature for the ages but it's a good story and Andy is a sympathetic heroine who knows what's important and sticks to her guns when it really matters.
