Bread & Butter by Michelle Widgen

When you go out to dinner at your favorite restaurant, you probably don't spend much time thinking about what led to that plate being placed in front of you. Bread & Butter gives you that behind-the-scenes view. It tells the story of three brothers. Leo and Britt run the successful Winesap restaurant. It's the epitome of fine dining in Linden, Pennsylvania. Then one day their younger brother Harry, who is still living at home after pursuing various adventures around the world, decides to open his own edgier restaurant, Stray. He asks his brothers to join him in the venture but only Britt says yes. And soon they're off on the wild ride involved in opening a new restaurant--while Britt is still trying to keep Winesap running smoothly.

But B&B is not only about the effort and timing needed to run a successful restaurant. No, there are a couple of romances, a lot of brotherly angst and even a nervous breakdown thrown in for good measure. If you're into food, it's a good read. And it gave me a whole new respect for restaurant chefs, servers, dishwashers, etc.
