The Wolves is the latest installment in the always compelling "John Wells" series that started with the excellent Faithful Spy. This one picks up where the previous book ended,when a rich Jewish American casino owner, Aaron Duberman, tried to draw the US into a war with Iran to protect Israel.
John Wells is now butting heads with the President over what to do about Duberman, who has fled Israel and is now living in an armed fortress of a mansion in Hong Kong. There are nasty Russians involved, a perverted Chinese general, a supermodel wife, and lots of action and betrayal. Couldn't put it down.
