Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben

Don't Let Go starts with a scam that ends in a dead cop, which turns out to be related to something that happened back in high school for the 2 people running the scam. There's also a military installation with strange goings-on, lots of lies and secrets, and deaths that continue to impact the survivors years later. Harlan Coben is a good storyteller and this is an engrossing read.
