A Dangerous Man by Robert Crais

I was delighted to hear that Elvis Cole (the Hawaiian shirt-wearing PI) and his best friend the mysterious Joe Pike were back. Dangerous Man starts with a young bank teller being kidnapped as she heads out to lunch. Fortunately for her, Joe Pike had just left the bank and noticed her abduction. He saves Isabel, then she goes missing again. Elvis and Joe are on the case, trying to figure out why someone would want to kidnap this woman in the first place. It was an engrossing story--though several times I wanted to klunk Isabel and her best friend Carly upside the head for not following the advice that Joe and Elvis were giving them. Can't wait for this dynamic duo's next adventure.
