Daylight by David Baldacci

 Daylight once again brings together Army CID John Puller and FBI agent Atlee Pine. Atlee is on leave still trying to find out what happened to her twin sister, Mercy, after she was abducted 30 years earlier. She is NJ to talk to a possible lead, who takes off running--which is when she crosses paths with Puller, who was interested in the same guy as part of a drug-related investigation. The two decide to pool their resources and work together--which leads them both into more of a tangle web of corruption than either expected. And which almost gets both of them killed--but brings Atlee one step closer to finding out what really happened to Mercy. I couldn't put it down--and can't wait to find out what happens next.
