Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson

This is a very unusual story, but I couldn't stop reading. Lillian and Madison were roommates at a ritzy boarding school. Madison was rich and beautiful, Lillian was a scholarship student and the daughter of a single mother. Madison keeps getting away with murder because she's beautiful and rich--and Lillian often has to pay the price. After boarding school, the two sort of stay in touch. Madison marries a politician with high ambitions. Lillian is living in her mother's attic.Madison asks Lillian to come be the governess for the two children from her husband's earlier marriage, Bessie and Roland. And oh yeah, there's a slight wrinkle: When the children get excited or angry or agitated, they tend to start on fire--which no one can find out because that might scuttle Madison's husband's chances for higher office. Since Lillian has no other plans and doesn't like living with mother, she says yes, even though she has absolutely no childcare experience. And so begins an unpredictable adventure that will change her life forever.
