Next in Line by Jeffrey Archer

 I found this story  a little confusing at the beginning since the author seemed to think I was familiar with this team of Scotland Yard cops. Then I discovered that this was the fifth in a series of which I hadn't read the first four books. Hence my confusion.

I eventually figured out who was who, and enjoyed the story. One of the main plots involves the cop who is picked to be Princess Diana's personal security. She turns out to be a handful to protect, which almost gets her and the cop killed. There are also some terrorist threats to thwart. You know, just another day at the office.
