Ladies' Lunch by Lore Segal

This is a collection of short stories, many with recurring characters, about a group of now elderly women who have been friends for decades and meet for lunch on a regular basis. But sadly, they are gradually losing their memory, their independence, their health. So it's not certain how long the lunches can continue. And then the Covid pandemic strikes. Some of the stories are funny, a lot are sad. The author was 95 when she wrote this, so she knows whereof she writes.
