Fascinating non-fiction

If you're in the mood for an interesting new perspective on World War II, check out Americans in Paris by Charles Glass. It tells the stories of the Americans who remained in Paris during the Nazi occupation. Some became collaborators. Some joined the French resistance. Some worked behind the scenes to get America to send help for France and Britain.

Some of the saddest stories involved Black Americans who had found a discrimination-free haven in Paris--until the Nazis arrived. Definitely worth a look.
