Like A Visit With an Old Friend

The newest "Alex Delaware" novel (Deception) by Jonathon Kellerman is like a visit with an old friend. Alex the psychologist and his cop buddy Milo (ostracized by the police force because he's gay) embark on another murder investigation, this time involving a substitute teacher at a tony prep school. Together, they unravel the mystery, clue by clue, and catch the bad guys. The friendship between Alex and Milo always seems more realistic than the romance between Alex and his girlfriend Robin (who has never been fully developed as a character in this series). A good read for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
