An Intelligent Heroine
If you're looking for a series featuring a woman who uses her wits and intelligence, check out the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. A battlefield nurse during WWI, Maisie becomes a private investigator in London after the war. In the days before DNA testing, computers, and CSI-type technology, she has to rely on her own common sense and attention to detail to unravel mysteries. The newest is called The Mapping of Love and Death.

Good young adult book that called Marcello in the Real World by Francisco Stork. It was very interesting, about a kid on the autism spectrum.

  4. Did you read Suite Francaise? You might like that. Our book group found the author's life even more fascinating than the book and most of us liked the book.
