Carrie on elsewhere
Just finished the Carrie Diaries and was disappointed. Not sure whom this book is really targeted at. It's too boring for adults and really not appropriate for the younger set. It's the story of Carrie Bradshaw (of Sex and the City fame) and her senior year in high school. But it's mostly about a group of fairly uninteresting teens who spend senior year smoking and drinking too much and trying to steal their friends' boyfriends. The book ends with Carrie meeting one of her future best friends, indicating that a sequel is in the works.
