Damned if You Do by Michael Brandman
Damned if You Do is the latest Jesse Stone story by Michael Brandman. MB finally seems to be getting
the tone right on this series, which he took over writing after the death of Robert Parker. (Earlier books had the normally lugubrious Jesse wisecracker like Spenser from Robert Parker's other series.)
The two main storylines involve a dead prostitute/prostitution turf war and a nursing home run by unscrupulous caregivers. It's a quick read and it's always nice to visit the fine folks of Paradise to see what they've been up to lately.
