Accused by Lisa Scottoline

It's nice catching up with the ladies at Rosato & Associates, the all-women Philadelphia law firm featured in some of Lisa Scottoline's earlier works. Though this was not the best in the series (there were a lot of people doing stupid things in this book), it held my attention, which is saying something because I have a horrible cold this weekend and my focus is a little fuzzy.

The basic premise is this: Mary DiNunzio has just been named partner when a 13-year-old named Allegra comes into the office to hire her--and prove that the man convicted of killing her older sister Fiona was in fact innocent. Allegra's family thinks the right man is in jail and throws up every possible roadblock. And even Mary's best friend, fellow lawyer Judy, is dubious about whether they should take the case. As usual, there is a lot of food and a lot of mayhem involved.
