The Matchmaker by Elin Hilderbrand

I was looking for something light over the holiday weekend and The Matchmaker turned out to be a good choice (though parts of it are sad, be warned).

Except for her college years, Dabney has lived her whole life on her beloved Nantucket. And she's perfectly content. But her first love, Clendenin Hughes, had big dreams and Nantucket was too small to hold him. He headed off to a job in the far east--right before teenage Dabney found out she was pregnant. For 27 years, Clendenin travels the world while Dabney marries another man and they raise her daughter together. Life is good until Clendenin suddenly reappears in Dabney's life.

The title of the book comes from Dabney's special gift of being able to put people together who end up finding true love together. Throughout the book are little snippets about the many happy couples she is responsible for. It's a good story and a quick read.
