The Burning Room by Michael Connelly

The Burning Room is the latest installment in the excellent Harry Bosch series.
Harry, just a year from retirement, is still working on the cold case squad. He has a new, young
partner named Lucy and their first case together is a doozy. A musician in a mariachi band who had been shot 10 years earlier has just died, so the cops can finally get their hands on the bullet, which had been lodged in his spine. Now they're in search of the murder weapon and the murderer. At the same time, Lucy wants to investigate the case of a daycare fire that occurred when she was a child because of her ties to the victims. Soon Harry is wondering if the two cases might not be related.
At the same time Harry is dealing with his standoffish teenage daughter, a possible new romantic interest, and the ever-looming prospect of retirement.

I can't wait to see what happens next.
