After Anna by Lisa Scottoline

Maggie lost custody of her daughter Anna when Anna was quite young, due to a manipulative ex-husband and her own postpartum psychosis. Now Anna is 17 and wants a relationship with the mother she hasn't seen in years. Maggie, now happily remarried and the stepmother of a young son, is thrilled. She goes to Anna's boarding school and brings her home to join the family. And that's where the trouble begins. Maggie is so happy to be reunited with her daughter that she pretty much lets her get away with anything while Maggie's husband, physician Noah, thinks Anna needs more parental supervision and rules. Anna soon starts a campaign against Noah, leaving Maggie unsure who to believe. Then Anna is found dead and Noah is arrested, even though he proclaims his innocence. There were a lot of good twists and turns near the end, which were compelling. But I'm not sure I believe the ending seen in the last chapter would be possible, after all this marriage--and this family--has been through.
