True Stories from an unreliable eyewitness by Christine Lahti

If you've ever seen Christine Lahti in Swing Shift, Jack and Bobby, or Running on Empty, you know she's a good actress. But it turns out she's also a good storyteller. And the stories are about her own life. She starts with her Michigan upbringing as part of a large family with an uninvolved doctor father and always-smiling-but-probably-not-really-happy housewife mother. She gets into acting, where people keep telling her she's not going to make it (ha! to them). Then continues on through marriage, motherhood, and getting older--with side trips into feminism and mental health issues.
I couldn't put it down.
