Me For You by Lolly Winston

This is such a sweet story. Rudy and Bethany have been happily married for years and are looking forward to retirement and traveling the world once Bethany's pension has vested. One morning, Rudy wakes up to find his beloved wife has died in her sleep and his happy world comes crashing down.

At his part-time job as a pianist at Nordstrom, Rudy had formed a platonic friendship with a Hungarian refugee named Sasha--and the two soon become lifelines for each other as both work their way through their respective grief. (Sasha had lost her young daughter.) Of course there are complications, but the two of them are so right for each other that you can't help hoping they find a way to be together forever.

There's an interesting interview with the author at the end of the book where we learn that parts of the story were based on her own experiences. Book group discussion questions are also included.
