If you take any kind of generic drugs, this book will frighten you. It describes what's going on behind the scenes in the world of generic drugs and it's not a pretty sight. Much of the book is devoted to an Indian generic company called Ranbaxy, where all kinds of fraud and deceit were going on in the name of making more money. A handful of dedicated FDA investigators tried to track down what was really going on there after a brave whistleblower contacted them. But the FDA as a whole really did not seem up to the task of protecting American consumers. This is really an eye-opening read.
