The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter

I started reading the Last Widow, which I didn't realize was part of a long series. That was not the problem with this book, as I could figure out some of the back story. My problem was that it was moving so slowly. It starts off with a bang when a doctor for the CDC gets kidnapped in front of her daughter. Then another female doctor gets kidnapped in front of her government agent boyfriend when they go to investigate a series of explosions. So far so good. But then they start repeating the events from different perspectives for some reason.  I finally gave up and read the ending. I know there are many fans of this series and I should probably start at the beginning. But I didn't love this book.
