Blush by Jamie Brenner

Vivian is the daughter of a wealthy family who is expected to marry well and stay in New York City being a dutiful wife. Instead, she falls for Leonard, who comes from a wine-making family. He gets it into his head that they should start a winery on Long Island on the site of an old potato farm--an unheard-of idea that so infuriates Vivian's family that they disown her. Vivian works alongside Leonard in the fields, making the winery a success. But Leonard is certain that wine-making is men's work, so he relegates Vivian to the role of wife and mother, but not a decision maker for the winery. Then he does the same thing to his daughter Sara, his natural heir, in favor of his son Asher--who has no interest in running the winery. When the family winery reaches a crisis point, can the family work together to save it? Or are the long-standing resentments too deep?

Work has been crazy lately so I was just looking for a good beach book to read this weekend--and this was a great choice. It's a really quick read with a compelling story and good characters.
