The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

 Olive is a PhD student/scientist at Stanford. She briefly dated a guy named Jeremy--who seemed more interested in her roommate, Ahn. To convince Ahn that it is OK for her to date Jeremy, Olive pretends to be having a romance with a professor named Adam, who unexpectedly agrees to go along with this plan for his own reasons. Of course, jealousies arise, real feelings develop, and disaster looms. What is a beautiful, brilliant scientist to do?
