An Excellet Thing in a WOman by Allison Montclair
This is another in the excellent Sparks and Bainbridge seris featuring the owners of the Right Sort Marriage Bureau. In this installment, a French dancer on tour in London coms to the marriage bureau in search of a British husband fast. The women fix her up with a date, who calls Gwen in a dither because she had blown him off during their date, saying she was getting back with another man. Then she turns up dead. And Gwen's beau, Sally (Salvatore) is the prime suspect. It turns out that events that happened during the war play a major role in this case. As always, an excellent adventure with our two favorite sleuths/marriage brokers.
