The Snowman by Jo Nesbo

Mothers keep going missing. And mysterious snowmen keep popping up. A serial killer is at clearly work and the only man for the job of tracking him down is the oddly named--and oddly compelling--Harry Hole, star of the can't-put-down series by Norwegian writer, Jo Nesbo.

Harry is an interesting character. Antisocial and alcoholic, yet a brilliant investigator and a good father figure to his ex-girlfriend's son. It's always fascinating to see how his mind works as he unravels the clues to catch the villain.

I have to say, I suspected who the villain was kind of early on, but that didn't keep me from enjoying this page-turner one bit.
