Kill Shot by Vince Flynn

I like the way this series of spy thrillers is headed. Vince Flynn decided to go back to the beginning and tell us how Mitch Rapp became the super CIA agent that he is. In Kill Shot, Rapp is in Paris to take out a Libyan terrorist when something goes horribly wrong. Soon there are 9 dead bodies in a ritzy hotel and Rapp is on the run, convinced he has been set up and unsure whom he can trust. At one point, he has the CIA, some rogue CIA bad apples, the French police, the French Directorate (their version of the CIA), and various terrorists all looking for him. If you're just in the mood for a good old-fashioned page-turner for a day at the beach or a long plane trip, this is the book for you.
