Choke Point by Ridley Pearson

Ridley Pearson has brought back the two fascinating main characters from his earlier novel, The Risk Agent.
Grace Cho (computer maven) and her partner John Knox (who's in the business for the money to support his ailing brother) work for private security firm Rutherford Risk. They're in Amsterdam trying to track down the man behind a knot shop, a sort of sweat shop employing little girls to make expensive rugs by hand. When some of the girls go missing, the team realizes there's something more nefarious going on than just child labor. There are a lot of close calls, ambushes and violent episodes as the two, sometimes joined by their colleague Dulwich and a beautiful reporter, Sonia, try to save the girls and find the mastermind. It's quite the page-turner.
