The Striker is the latest in the always exciting "Isaac Bell" series by Clive Cussler and Justin Scott.
Set in the early 1900s, the series features Bell as a detective for the Van Dorn agency. In this episode, he's involved with a tumultuous labor dispute involving coal miners and the powerful tycoons who own the mines, the railroads, etc. It's all very action packed.
I like this series because of the time period and because the principals have to use their brains and their wits to solve cases rather than computers, cell phones and DNA technology.
