This is  the latest in the Women's Murder Club series by Patterson and Pietro. It starts with a bang as (cop) Lindsay Boxer finds her self home alone during a storm and power failure suddenly in labor. Once the baby arrives, she has to deal with balancing her demanding job as a homicide cop and being a mom. Yuki is trying a big case involving a sleazy lawyer charged with killing his wife and young daughter. Claire has been demoted in the medical examiner's office after a murder victim's body (the fiancee of a big football star) goes missing from the morgue. And (reporter) Cindy is having relationship issues with fiance Rich. And then there's a creepy serial killer named Randolph Fish who is obsessed with Lindsay. The story moves right along with a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. It would be a good choice for a day at the beach or a long flight.
