Fly Away by Kristin Hannah
Wow, I really have to find a happy book to read after this one and Shine, Shine, Shine.
I've read other books by Kristin Hannah (Winter Garden, Home Front) and really liked them.
But Fly Away is very bleak. It starts with the death of a mother, then moves on to include a teenager cutting herself, child abuse, wife beating, drug addiction, runaways and on and on. While it has a happy ending,
it is one grim journey.
