One Perfect Lie by Lisa Scottoline

Though I prefer the "Rosato" books (about a Philly law firm) by Lisa Scottoline, this was a good summer read. Chris Brennan gets a job at a Pennsylvania high school as a government teacher/assistant coach. He seems to want to get close to the members of the baseball team for some reason, which is a little creey--until we find out what he's really up to. Then the book turns into a good thriller. I thought the parts about the moms of the 3 main baseball players seemed most realistic.
One is a single mom trying to find a better career path. One is the wealthy wife of a doctor who has cheated before and may be cheating again. And one is a recent widow who sees her family spinning out of control without her late husband's steadying hand. The main character, Chris, did not seem as well defined as the women in the book.
