Lethal White by Robt Galbraith

I love the Striker & Robin series by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling). But my oh my this is one convoluted plot. It starts with a mentally ill young man showing up in Striker's (PI) office saying he saw a murder when he was a kid then moves onto a government minister hiring Striker and Robin because he's being blackmailed--though he won't say what for. Then there's a whole subplot about a socialist movement run by a thug who may or may not be related to the murder and the blackmail. And Striker's ex Charlotte, who is just plain bad news for him, keeps conveniently popping up in his life. Then there's Robin's shaky marriage to the totally wrong for her Matthew--and the simmering feelings that Robin and Striker have for each other. There's a lot going on in those 650 pages. But I can't wait to see what happens to Striker and Robin next!
