The Deceivers by Alex Berenson

I discovered that I had somehow missed one of the books in the excellent "John Wells" series by Alex Berenson, The Deceivers. The story starts with an Egyptian-American drug dealer who gets arrested by what he thinks are federal agents, who then get him involved in a plan to have his militant cousin arrested for planning a terror plot. But something goes badly awry--which is when ex-CIA guy John Wells gets involved. He is soon traveling the world on the trail of a sniper and trying to figure out what the big picture plot is. It's quite the page turner. And I'm so glad that I found it while perusing my library website for something to read. If you're new to this series, start at the beginning with The Faithful Spy.
