Conspiracy in Belgravia by Sherry Thomas

Conspiracy is the second in the entertaining "Charlotte Holmes" series by Sherry Thomas, set in Victorian England. This episode starts with the Sherlock/Charlotte Holmes gang receiving a visit from Lady Ingram, wife of the man Charlotte is in love with. Lady I says she is looking for the man she loved before she married Lord Ingram. Supposedly they made a pact to walk past each other at an assigned spot on a specific day each year--and he didn't show up, so she wanted to find out if something had happened to him. Charlotte is a little suspicious about this story--especially when she finds out the man in question is her illegitimate half-brother (whom she has never met). This turns out to be a lot more complicated of a case than she expected. And I'm not totally sure I can completely relate how the plot unfolded since there were so many moving parts. But I like the characters of Charlotte Holmes, Mrs. Watson and Lord Ingram, so it was an enjoyable read. And I look forward to reading the next installment.
