Long Shadows by David Baldacci

 Long Shadows is the latest Amos Decker (Memory Man) book. Decker is an FBI consultant with perfect recall after a head injury sustained while playing football--though something may be going on with his perfect memory, a plotline that will probably be carried into the next book. 

Decker's old partner transferred to a new posting so he's been paired with Frederica White, a single mother who's no more thrilled about this turn of events than he is. The two head to Florida, where a female judge has been murdered along with her bodyguard. Decker and White have to figure out how to work together as they try to solve those two murders, then several other related murders--while trying to stay alive themselves. Couldn't put it down. And am looking forward to seeing this partnership evolve.
