Thus With a Kiss I Die by CHristina Dodd
This is the sequel to the charming Daughter of Fair Verona, starring the oldest daughter of Romeo and Juliet, who didn't die after all but got married and had a bunch of kids. The first one ended with Rosie in a compromising position thanks to the Prince of Verona, who decided she would make a good wife. Rosie's heart belongs with Lysander. But since it seems that all of Verona heard about her compromising position, she feels duty-bound to marry the prince. But there's a lot going on in Verona. There are protests. Someone tries to kill the Prince's grandmother. Juliet is pregnant yet again and about to deliver. And oh yeah, Rosie keeps seeing a ghost (the Prince's late father) whenever she goes to the royal palace. He wants her to figure out who killed him. What's a girl to do?
I think I liked the first book better. We can see that the author thinks Rosie and the prince belong together. But I kind of like Lysander, who has a good head on his shoulders and really loves Rosie. I guess we'll see if the wedding ever happens when the next book comes out.
