Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld
Sally is a writer for an SNL-type comedy show. One week, the guest host/musical act is Noah. Sally has long sworn off love but there's something about Noah. They seem to be becoming friends the week before the show then have a disagreement at an after-show party and don't see each other until a couple of years later, during the COVID pandemic, when they start corresponding by email. But Sally has her doubts about whether a normal-looking, behind-the-scenes woman and a hunky music star can ever have a future.
It's an interesting look at what goes into putting on an SNL-type show. And it brings back sad memories of being in lockdown during COVID. But it's a good story with likeable characters who are just trying to find their way through life--and hopefully to each other.
