It's a Love Story by Annabelle Monaghan

 Jane works for a film production company in California. She has finally been given the opportunity to green light a film that she's dying to make called True Story, a simple love story. Her boss is more into adventure movies so she's having a hard time convincing him until she tells him she knows popular singer Jack Quinlan and can get him to write a song for the movie. The problem is that she knew Jack when she was on a TV show as a kid and he humiliated her, which badly damaged her self-esteem. But if it's the only way to get her movie made, she will do it.And she needs the help of cinematographer Dan, with whom she has gotten off to a rocky start. 

Jack is performing at a festival near Dan's hometown on Long Island, so Jane and Dan head there for the week to try to convince him to write a song for them. When she's thrown into his close-knit but rambunctious family, Jane starts getting a whole different impression of Dan--and what her life could be like. But there's still the problem of Jack, who is still the same insufferable jerk he was as a teen. Will Jane get her movie made? Will Jack write a song for her?
