Broken Trust by Mike Lupica

 This is the second from last Spenser (Boston PI) novel written by Mike Lupica. It starts with Spenser being visited by wealthy wife Laura Crain. She is worried that her husband Andrew is acting strangely and she wants Spenser to investigate. Andrew's tech company is on the verge of a huge merger, so Andrew having a mental breakdown right now would not be ideal, plus she's genuinely worried about him. Soon Laura turns up dead, then someone else working at the company turns up dead. And Spenser feels like he's spinning his wheels. But he is stubborn when it comes to pursuing truth and justice, so he will persist. 

This was a good story, though it seemed a lot longer (and more convoluted) than the typical Spenser novel.
