The Last Love Letter by Emma Grey

Kate and Cam are blissfully happy, enjoying life with their young son Charlie.  Cam is a literature professor and Kate works to raise funds for the university. And life is good. Then Kate realizes she is pregnant again just as she starts to notice that Cam is acting forgetful. A medical exam after a car crash gives a devastating diagnosis. And so Kate begins a grim journey of losing the husband she adores and preparing to be a single mother.

In notes at the end, Emma Grey explains that the idea for the book came from her husband's untimely death from a heart attack. While this book sounds very sad, and parts of it are, other parts are hilariously funny. It's an excellent book to spend a snowy weekend with.
