Heart the Lover by Lily King

 This book is apparently part of a series that I haven't read the rest of. Perhaps if I had, it might have changed my opinion. The book focuses on a love triangle between a girl called Casey (who is nicknamed Jordan in this installment) and 2 roommates, Sam and Yash. The book alternates between the college years, when all the loving was happening and present time, when long-married Casey and her husband are anxious about their health of their son, who is waiting to hear when he can have an experimental procedure.

The character I liked the best was Casey's husband, who is dealing with a sick kid and a wife who has gone off to help a former boyfriend die in peace. And trying to maintain his composure.

This book is on several "best of the year" lists. Not sure I agree with that, but I did like the ending after what I thought was a slow start.
